2025 CALACS Article Prize for Emerging Scholars

In order to recognize and encourage talented junior scholars in the field of Latin American and Caribbean Studies, the Canadian Association of Latin American and Caribbean Studies (CALACS) invites submissions for the 2025 Article Prize for Emerging Scholars.

The 2025 prize will be awarded at an event that will take place during the CALACS Congress in 2025. Judging will be upon a refereed journal article published in 2023 or 2024. Co-authored papers are acceptable, but the nominee must be the lead author.

Nominees must be current CALACS members who are untenured and/or within five years of having obtained a Ph.D.  Questions regarding eligibility should be directed to the Chair of the Article Prize Committee, Laura Primeau: lauraprimeau@cmail.carleton.ca
