Nominations for the CALACS Book Prize

The Canadian Association of Latin American and Caribbean Studies (CALACS) invites submissions for the third annual prize for the best monograph in Latin American and Caribbean Studies published by a CALACS member during the previous year.

The 2019 prize will be awarded during the 2020 CALACS meeting in Ottawa. Entries must have an imprint date of 2019. There is no need to submit a letter of nomination for the award, simply ensure that membership is current and send a copy of the book (a total of 3) to each of the following members of the review committee by January 15, 2020. Electronic books are eligible and should be forwarded directly to each of the committee members’ email addresses. Questions regarding eligibility can be directed to the chair of the adjudication committee, Dr. Laurent Corbeil at laurentcorbeil(at)hotmail.com.
