- Two (2) student directors at large to serve for a period of three years on the Board as per Canada’s Not for Profit Act. Student members of the Board shall be elected exclusively by secret ballot of the student members of the Association.
Any member of CALACS who is in good standing and who is interested in running, or in nominating another member of CALACS for any of these positions, should send their name, statement of interest (no longer than 500 words in any of the four CALACS official languages), and a short biography (no longer than 250 words in any of the four CALACS official languages) to the attention of the Elections Officer, Dr. Daniel Tubb, at elections(at)can-latam.org by April 20, 2019.
Each candidacy must also be supported by two members of CALACS in good standing, with their support expressed by email to the Elections Officer. If this requirement represents a challenge to one’s candidacy, please contact the CALACS Elections Officer to request accommodation.
Candidates are encouraged, though not required, to submit their biographies also in English and/or French if any of these is not the original language used for the candidacy.
Biographies will be circulated to members in advance of voting through the CALACS listserv, but only in the languages provided by the candidates.
