As part of an effort to support PhD students, early-career academics, and contingent faculty who are members of CALACS, the board of directors would like to know what its members who are emerging scholars think about the job market and their career, both inside and outside academia. We ask all members who are not yet on a tenure-track career path (PhD students, postdoctoral fellows, course lecturers, independent scholars, etc.) to answer the following online survey. Some questions are geared towards support features we are thinking of putting in place, but there is also space for you to write down your opinion and ideas at length. The idea, in the end, is to further enhance our community as a place where we support each other and where we want to keep coming back, even if our careers paths are not always straight forward.
